Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you based out of and what type of photography services do you provide?
Amrita Studios is a photography & filmmaking team with a unique cinematic storytelling approach based out of Chennai & Bangalore with a wide range of photography & videography services shooting all big & small celebrations from Weddings, Engagements, Baby showers , Birthdays & Corporate Events to Branding Advertisement Photography, Portfolio Portraits, Product Photography , Food photography, Real Estate & Architecture / Interior design photography and more.
How experienced is your team?
Our Photographers, Filmmakers & Videographers, Editors & D.I Artists/ Colorist are very experienced with high end technical skills, with several years of experience in this field. They have a strong background in visual art, photography, filmmaking, editing and have successfully executed and delivered numerous Projects.
Are you ok if we hire additional videographers / photographers?
We generally do not recommend having two teams, but if it is your request then we are flexible with that arrangement, so long as we are chosen to be the primary ‘A’ team by you. If that’s the case, then second team ‘B’ chosen, will need to be friendly, coordinate with us and respect the boundaries of time and deadlines of event proceedings so as to not cause any delay during the event. We try to keep our photography angles & compositions clean for the final output by avoiding visual distractions on the opposite side of the frame especially during wedding events. We also don’t want the families/bride & groom to be conscious of our presence as we work very closely within our team to ensure we do not obstruct each other’s frames, but if there is clear communication between two teams, then we are okay with you hiring additional photographer / videographer. Do note, this arrangement, must be mentioned made aware to us in advance, prior to booking us.

Do you offer packages or customized services?
We offer Customised Services. It is based on many factors such as Guest count of the event, Number of events and days, timings of events, which of ours services you choose to go with for each event, such as candid photo / video, traditional photo/video, drone, LED screen, live streaming, personalised music soundtracks, Physical Album and more. The more number of photographers, videographers you need based on the coverage content, the charges would vary according to the crew size asked for, depending on factors such as if it’s an intimate wedding all the way to a luxury destination wedding. To cater to your specific needs of a tailored experience, we will create a customized package that is ideal for you. We have created Wedding packages starting from INR Rs.1,50,000 to INR Rs.10,00,000 based on the various requirements and additional services, scale of the events, crew size, and desired coverage of events. We are committed to delivering high quality films & photos that align with your preferences and expectations based upon our prior work.
What is the process for booking your photography services?
We would expect 50% of the total booking cost as an advance for booking confirmation, upon which our team will be blocked exclusively for your date. Remaining 50% is to be paid on the day of the event or can also be cleared few days before the event as many clients prefer to complete it without the last minute hurry on day of event. Please contact our team for more details regarding payment method options.
Do you travel?
Yes to photograph events, we do travel all across India and across the world, wherever the event may be taking place. As is the practice, you will have to take care of getting us to the location and accommodation / food for our team during our stay there.
Can we speak or meet with the team before the event?
Absolutely! We are just one phone call away and we also understand the importance of personal connection. We can arrange a call or meeting where you can discuss your vision, ask questions, and get to know our style and approach. We having studied what brings out the best quality in event photography & films, with a background in costume/ production design are also open to being involved in the overall aesthetic choices of outfits , selection of colours for the main family with the color of the backdrop of the stage decor at the venue to ensure there are beautiful coordinated visual elements for the best photography results turn out. We are flexible and as involved in this pre-production process as you’d like us to be.
My event is next year, is it too early to enquire?
Since we take up limited events each year, the earlier you book us the better. We exclusively shoot about 30 weddings in a year but we do take up last minute bookings as well, provided we have that date available. Ideally we would request you to reach to us and gives us a heads up, as soon as you begin planning for your event, after which we will follow up with you.
Will there be a backup photographer / videographer in case of an emergency?
Yes, this is the advantage of having a big team, trained specially for us as we always have backup plans in place in event of an emergency or unforeseen circumstances, for one of our other skilled team members with the same level of expertise to step in.
How long does it take to receive the pictures?
The turnaround time for receiving the photos & videos depends on the scope of the project and our current workload. Generally, you can expect to receive your photos within 4-8 weeks after the event or photoshoot. The video films will take longer, crafted to perfection and may take up to 3-6 months to deliver. We understand that these films will be a memory for your lifetime, and so we like to pay attention to the finer details, put in the hours to creatively experiment in the edit room which helps us work towards creating the best film possible.
What are your main deliverables for the videos/ films?
This is based on the requirement and services taken up, but generally we usually give two candid films. One is the full film and the other is the teaser / trailer highlights. The full feature film’s duration is usually anywhere from between 10 to 25 minutes, depending on the duration of events, number of events etc.
Are there any additional fees we should be aware of?
We are very transparent from the first with what the final cost would be on the quote that has been shared to you based on your requirements. Any additional fees, such as travel expenses, overtime charges, accommodation charges etc if any will be communicated to you upfront.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Our cancellation and refund policy will be outlined in the contract you receive upon booking. It will specify the terms and conditions, including any applicable cancellation fees or refund policies, and will be handled reasonably with fairness and understanding.
